4: How much does it cost to make a Lasting Power of Attorney?

Published by Emma Lucy on

It’s £82 each for the Property and Finance LPA and the Health and Welfare LPA. So if you get both, that’s £164.

If you earn less than £12,000 per year, you can provide evidence to have the fee to £41 for each LPA.

Those on certain benefits are exempt from fees.

For more information on exemptions and reduced fees, including how to apply, see this link.

If you decide to use a solicitor or other service you’ll also have to pay their fees in addition, which could add a few hundred pounds.

I wanted to get my affairs in in order but found that there was no single place that had all the information I needed to do guide me through this. So this website was born to bring together what I have learned and help others doing the same. I live in Kent, England with my husband, 3 children and our chickens.
